This 15" x 20" vellum document was signed on March 25, 1873 by Ulysses S. Grant as President and William A. Richardson is Secretary of Treasury. The document appoints Mr. Henry Harnden as the Collector of Internal Revenue for the Second District of Wisconsin. The document has several vertical folds as well as some additional handling around the edges. The Presidential seal does not appear to be present, although there is evidence of its previous attachment above Richardson's signature. Overall in fine condition. Accompanied by full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
