Babe Ruth was the greatest to play the game, the standard all others compared to. This is an exquisite display featuring an early, 1921, sepia-toned portrait photo of a very young Ruth with bat in hand in his New York Yankees uniform, on the field at The Polo Grounds, home of the rival New York Giants, as engineers & surveyors worked on the plans for "The House that Ruth Built". Signed, inscribed & dated "To Joe Fareno Harlem Golden Gloves Bantam Weight Champion 1929 From Babe Ruth". This has been framed & matted in an intricately custom shadowbox with two different oversized black & white photos of Ruth, the New York Yankees logo & two descriptive plaques. Measures to an overall size of 45.5" x 27.5". Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
