Partly-printed, one-page vellum land grant, approximately 12” x 14”, dated May 18th, 1824, and signed “James Monroe” by the 5th President of the United States. Via this document, Monroe grants Captain James Craig a parcel of land for his military services, in accordance with an act of congress in 1790. The document is also cosigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office, George Graham. Partially intact Land Office seal affixed. This document is in fine condition overall with some creasing and some light staining. Monroe’s signature is exceptional! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
