The class of 1974 would be a legendary one for the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown NY. With the Yankees stealing the spotlight as both Mickey Mantle & Whitey Ford would be inducted with 13 future hall of famers on the ballot not receiving the qualifing votes to enter the hall. With so many close calls on the ballot & the induction of the generations best player in Mickey Mantle, there was quite a turnout for the event. Offered here is a official American League MacPhail sphere signed by 25 attendies in ballpoint. Notables include: Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Satchel Paige, Ted Lyons, Buck Leonard, Bob Feller, Joe Medwick, Cool Papa Bell, Monte Irvin, Stan Musial, Casey Stangel, Lefty Grove, Roy Campanella (in wives hand), Warren Sphan, George Kelly & Others.
