Two of the earliest and greatest baseball players of all time, Cobb & Speaker struck up a close friendship (and friendly rivalry) during their time together on the Cleveland Indians. They both shared a love for hunting and surprisingly, neither was a big fan of the legendary Babe Ruth. Speaker was known to have said that although The Babe was a great player, Cobb was even greater. Cobb was also always highly impressed with Speaker's work, both at the plate and in the field - and Cobb was known as a prickly one, not a man to go out of his way to make friends or dish out accolades to anyone. The two unlikely friends have both signed this 3.25" x 5.5" Government Postcard featuring a black & white image of the two side-by-side, with Speaker signing in blue ink and Cobb signing in his preferred green ink. Both autographs have been given the coveted grade of GEM MINT 10!
