Presented here is an excellent example of a Satchel Paige single signed baseball, and one of only a few that we have ever handled. The gorgeous blue ink signature of the incomparable Leroy Robert Paige, known by all as "Satchel," is executed on a side panel of this creamy Reach Official League ball. Paige's signature has been penned with a flourish and graded "7" by PSA/DNA. The sphere exhibits evenly distributed, age-induced toning, with the overall condition of the ball being given a grade of "6" by PSA/DNA and the final grade of the autograph and ball combined achieving a 6.5. One of the greatest pitchers in Negro League history, Paige later became the first black pitcher in the American League and helped lead the Cleveland Indians to the 1948 World Championship. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971. Accompanied by full Letter of Grading and Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
