Partly-printed, one-page vellum land grant, approximately 10” x 16”, dated, 1824, and signed “James Monroe” by the 5th President of the United States. Via this document, Monroe grants a piece of land, paid in full to the General Land Office. The document is also cosigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office, John McLean. Fully intact Land Office seal affixed. This document is in fine condition with some staining around the two vertical folds. Monroe’s signature is exceptional!
