Known as “Gentleman Jim,” Corbett was a former World Heavyweight Champion who knocked out John L. Sullivan to win the title. 1925 second printing of “The Roar of the Crowd: The Rise and Fall of a Champion” hardcover book signed on the first inside free page in black fountain pen with a Near Mint to Mint signature, personalized “To David J. Walsh any friend of George Hoffman I want a friend of mine, Sincerely Jas J. Corbett Bayside, N.Y. Aug 10/25”. The book does not have a dust jacket and is in VG condition- there is a cigarette hole on the cover. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
