Offered here is a particularly interesting 1908 White House letter from President Theodore Roosevelt to the United States War Department regarding events in Panama. President Roosevelt makes mention of a conversation between himself and future President William Howard Taft regarding the appointment of a member to the judicial branch in Panama. Panama would be of interest to the United States and Roosevelt with the construction of the Panama Canal completed in 1913. A superb letter featuring two Presidents & one of the most significant trade advances in history, the Panama Canal. Overall in good condition with a central fold. Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity.
