Desirable hand-addressed free frank, 4.75" x 3", addressed by Monroe to "William Dabney Esqr., Richmond, Virga," and franked in the upper right of the panel, "Dept. of State, Jas. Monroe." The panel is postmarked Washington, May 29, and bears a ‘Free’ ink stamp below his signature. Overall in good condition. It's worth noting that Monroe Free Frank's are amongst the toughest to obtain of the vintage Presidents with free-frank examples. Authenticated & encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
