Gustave Eiffel was the French engineer best remembered for designing the tower that bears his name - a name that is now world-reknowned. Offered here is a note written in French, signed “G. Eiffel," dated in Paris on June 20, 1927 and measuring 3" x 5.5". A handwritten pass to the Eiffel Tower written by Eiffel. The note reads, "Le drapeau Francais est encore le seul qui ait haupe de 300 metres," translating to "The French flag is still the only one that has a height of 300 meters". Eiffel was clearly very proud of his country and this statement tells us no differently! In very good condition, with some light toning. Authenticated & encapsulated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
