Offered here is a lavishly illustrated study of the human experience of space exploration, drawing on the contributions of forty international space explorers, including John Glenn, Sally Ride, Alksei Leonov, Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins, Scott Carpenter, and Valentina Tereshkova. The book also contains 160 photographs of everything from Alan Shepard's Redstone rocket in 1961 to the reparied Hubble telescope being relaunched in 1993. It is surely one of the most spectacular space picture books in recent history. The inside title page of this hardcover edition has been signed by four members of the Apollo 12 crew, including Scott Carpenter, Alan Bean, Wally Schirra, and Richard Gordon.
