Mike Trout is undoubtedly the up-and-coming face of Major League Baseball. Since he burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2011, Trout has blazed a trail few have done before. The Angels star has played in every All-Star Game since his rookie year, won the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 2012 and was finally named the American League MVP in 2014 after two near-misses as runner up. On April 17, 2015, he became the youngest player in MLB history to reach 100 home runs and 100 stolen bases. In 2016, he was appropriately named MVP for a second time. In 2017, despite a mid-season injury that took him out for a while, Trout continued to perform, including hitting his 1,000th career home run. Offered here is an MT-27 Old Hickory professional model bat used in that year. The bat remains un-cracked and exhibits evidence of oustanding use. Ball marks, stitch impressions, and cleat marks can be seen scattered throughotu the barrel, as well as an impression from a weighted batting donut. The handle has been taped all the way up with Trout's typical Lizard Skins tape and there is also pine tar on the upper handle. The bat is signed by Mike Trout himself and is inscribed "G/U 17" to signify its usage in that season, all in silver felt tip marker. Accompanied by a full Letter of Grading and Authenticity from John Taube/PSA, with the bat earning a coveted grade of GU 10! This is an outstanding bat from one of the most talented players in all of baseball, projected to quite possibly have one of the most successful careers in the sport's history.
