A new precedent was set after Peyton Manning finished dissecting defenses in 2004, arguably the finest season of his historic career. One of the sport's most cherished records fell when Manning threw for 49 touchdowns, supplanting Dan Marino as the all-time leading touchdown tosser for a single season. Never before, had a quarterback compiled such gaudy statistics as the two-time MVP did during that magical season for the Colts. On December 5th, Manning would be his usual self firing at will versus the Tennessee Titans' defense to the tune of 425 yards and three touchdowns. This would be Manning's sixth career game of passing for more than 400 yards. The future hall-of-famer wore this [size] "50" jersey in the game, a 51-24 win over the Titans. The offered signed game used jersey features a red mark on the white shoulder striping on front. A brown mark is located on the middle of the front "8." Blue spandex stretch panels have been installed to the sides and are reinforced on the inside seam. Collar tagging includes a strip tag which reads "04-50." All of the identifiers are applied in single-color white to the mesh body. Both sleeve ends are open as was apropos for Manning. Tail tagging includes a Reebok tag with a Peyton Manning hologram. "4" L.B." and size [50] flag tags are suspended off the Reebok label. Overall in fine condition with moderate use. Authenticated by the legend himself with a full letter of authenticity signed by Manning that reads, "I Peyton Manning, verify that this jersey was worn by me in a Colts regular season football game. With my signature below, I certify that I did in fact wear this jersey during an NFL game during the 2004 season."
