In one of the finest photos signed by Neil Armstrong we've ever encountered, offered here is an 8" x 10" official NASA photograph of Apollo XI prior to its launch, signed and, more importantly, uninscribed and unpersonalized by Neil Armstrong himself. When this photo was originally snapped, although the world had high hopes of what would come from this mission, the thought of a man walking on the moon was just a dream. Shortly thereafter, Armstrong would achieve just that. Veteran collectors are aware that the vast majority of signed photos from this pioneering spaceman are personalized, but this one is appealingly free of any such attribution. Armstrong's bold black ink signature, often found in substandard condition due to the fading effects of age and light exposure, is the clean and bold. The photo itself is likewise free of any flaws worthy of note aside from some minor wear to the top right corner.
