Although Mantle was what you would call an "easy" autograph, this unique piece comes with a great story. As the story goes by the consignor, the year was 1977 during Yankees Spring Training, Mantle and a few former teammates all hit the town for some drinks at the local watering hole Banana Boat Lounge where Mantles girlfriend Mary Ann worked. Mantle would conclude the night for Mary Ann by signing this 3" x 4.5" bar receipt adding "To Mary Ann Our Best Fuckin Wishes, Mickey Mantle," along with Yogi Berra in blue ink. Also at the table was Billy Martin, Whitey Ford & Bob Lemon. The former Yankee Skipper Martin would jokingly signed as "Jackie Robinson" and Bob Lemon signing as "Bob Ruth". Overall in fine condition with folds, discoloration and handling wear.
