In the ever-expanding world of baseball collecting, this one item stands out as timeless as the epitome of prized treasures. The single-signed baseball by Babe Ruth is the most sought after classic trophy in the hobby. No baseball collector can claim to be an afficionado of the game and not include in his treasure trove a baseball single signed on the sweet spot by the greatest figure in the history of the sport. This baseball signed on the sweet spot, "Babe Ruth", is a solid example, and affordable in a market of otherwise five-figure balls. The ball exhibits a fair amount of wear and toning throughout. One one panel, the leather has deteriorated down to the interior. Any stamping that previously existed has since faded. The date "8-24-29" and "Browns 4, Yankees 0" were written in an unknown hand around Ruth's autograph. Ruth's autograph is extremely legible, and assuming the date on the ball is accurate to the date of the signature, it is nearly 90 years old! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
