Handwritten letter, one page front and back, fully handwritten by President James Buchanan to a dear friend or family member, attempting to schedule a visit and giving her updates on some other friends. Dated April 17, 1859 (during his Presidency) and finished with a bold black ink signature by Buchanan. In fine condition with two horizontal and one vertical folds and some toning. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
