Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States, serving from 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. Offered here is a 15" x 19" executed 1861 Presidential Land Office appointment issued to Robert McBratney of Kansas and signed at the conclusion by President Abraham Lincoln in bold black ink. Signed off by the Department of Interior on April 26th, 1861 and was to be intended for a four year term until 1865. Professionally framed & matted to an overall size of 24.5" x 36.5" with minor handling wear to the edges.
