A choice piece of Lennon memorabilia that defined the iconic musician’s style in the later years of his life, presented here is a 1960's style leather jacket that were personally owned and worn by the legendary musician. Gifted to legendary TV host Joe Franklin c. 1972 following a request by John Lennon to appear on Joe Franklin's show, with the agreement that Yoko Ono can as well. John at the time was trying to help promote Yoko's music any way he could, and despite being a time where he was not exactly in the public eye, Lennon would make two public appearances on Franklin's show. Accompanying this lot is a Letter of Provenance from the original recipient, Joe Franklin, who details how he was able to obtain the music & cultural legends jacket, along with a photograph of a late Joe Franklin holding the exact offering. Also included with the lot is a photo-copy of the original hand written letter between John Lennon & Joe Franklin going over the details of the appearances as well as some new solo tracks of Lennon's from his new LP "Fly". A tremendous Lennon relic/investment with extensive provenance!
