In a dogfight with the Cleveland Indians, the Bronx Bombers authored a 19-5 September in completing their sixth of a record 12 successive seasons of 90-plus triumphs — and, of course, their fourth of an all-time best five straight World Series titles. Offered here is an Official American League (Harridge) baseball signed by 30 members of that vaunted squad. This handsome toned sphere boasts black & blue ink autographs that show about "7-9" overall strength. Headlined by a choice rookie-era Mickey Mantle autograph, other signers on the ball include: Yogi Berra, Casey Stengel (manager), Phil Rizzuto, Johnny Mize, Billy Martin, Johnny Sain, Allie Reynolds, Vic Raschi, Joe Ostrowski, Bill Biller, Jim McDonald, Ed Lopat, Tom Gorman, Ewell Blackwell, Ray Scarborough, Ralph Houk, Charlie Silvera, Laren Babe, Jim Brideweser, Andy Carey, Joe Collins, Gil McDougald, Hank Bauer, Irv Noren, and Gene Woodling. Ball exhibits uniform toning and soiling however signatures are dark and contrast well. There is fading to the stamping, although it is still visible.
