In 1966 many things were unknown about the growing sport of American football & the National Football League, even the name of their championship. With the AFL & NFL merging that year, the game would be publicly known at that time as “First AFL-NFL World Championship Game” or the “Supergame.” The NFL (now NFC) powerhouse Green Bay Packers led by Bart Starr & Vince Lombardi would take on the best from the AFL (now AFC) in the Kansas City Chiefs. Little did the League & it’s fans know, but the world's most watched single sporting game had been born, the Super Bowl. This hardcover "Run to Daylight!" book by Vince Lombardi has been signed by four members of the 1966 Green Bay Packers team, including Vince Lombardi, Lionel Aldridge, Elijah Pitts and Jim Grabowski in blue ballpoint pen. The book is Lombardi's own diary of a week at the helm of the magnificent club that was the 1960s Green Bay Packers, taking us through the first review of game films on Monday right through the final gun on Sunday afternoon.
