Although this is not the strongest sample of a Lou Gehrig signature, some vestiges of the great "Iron Horse's" autograph remain where he signed in steel-tip fountain pen on the sweet spot of this Ford C. Frick Official National League ball towards the latter part of his career and during the beginning of Frick's 17-year tenure as President of the National League. What makes this ball most collectible is that it is single-signed by Gehrig (as opposed to the more commonly seen Ruth/Gehrig dual-signed ball with Ruth on the sweet spot). Relatively clean ball contains abrasions on the North and East side panels where other signatures may have been removed. Accompanied by full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
