On August 28, 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. would address the Nation from the Lincoln Memorial questioning the United States civil rights stance in a attempt for equality around the Nation. 100 years prior to his historic "I Have a Dream" speech in Washington, another American Here, Abraham Lincoln, would signed the Emancipation Proclamation making slavery illegal in the United States, the largest advancement in civil rights to date. This tremendous first day cover is stamp & presumably signed just 12 days prior to Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous speech on August 16, 1963. King has signed the original first day cover in bold blue ballpoint, "Martin Luther King Jr." receiving an impressive grade of MINT 9 from PSA/DNA. Overall in excellent condition. Authenticated, encapsulated & graded by PSA/DNA.
