Few personages in sports come along that have the ability to not only change the way the game is played, but how it is perceived. In the modern era, that personage is the one and only Michael Jordan. He is undoubtedly the greatest basketball player of all time. As a phenomenal athlete with a unique combination of fundamental solidity, grace, speed, power, artistry, improvisational ability, and an insatiable competitive desire, Jordan single-handedly redefined the NBA superstar. Drafted to the Chicago Bulls in 1984, he led the team to six World Championships and attained countless awards for himself along the way. From the 1985 NBA Rookie of the Year to five-time NBA MVP to six-time NBA Finals MVP to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team, Jordan has achieved it all, and the season that he used this coveted collectible was no different. One of the best and most irrefutable Jordan gamers to ever appear on the market, offered here is a MacGregor Sand-Knit size 44 Chicago Bulls jersey touted by Michael Jordan in the 1988-89 NBA season. In this season, Jordan led the league in scoring for the second year in a row, averaging 32.5 ppg on 53.8% shooting, along with 8 rpg and 8 assists per game. He recorded ten triple-doubles in eleven games near the end of the season. This is also the year that Jordan hit his famous "The Shot" over Craig Ehlo right at the buzzer of the fifth game in the Eastern Conference Finals. This white home mesh jersey has all appropriate red and black screen printing on the front and back. An NBA logo patch is sewn on the left chest area of the jersey. All appropriate tagging, including a Bulls tag and an "88" tag, is present. The jersey shows good use and His Airness has gone onto sign the front right breast in black felt tip marker, with the inscription "To Steve, Best Wishes, Michael Jordan". Due to nearly 14 years of market data and examples examined by MEARS, they have given this outstanding jersey a grade of A-10 - nearly unheard of for Jordan gamers! Also accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) for the autograph. Basketball, Jordan, and Chicago collectors, take note - this is not an opportunity to be missed!
