With the autograph business really taking off in the mid-to-late 1980's, items signed by some of the bigger names, including Mantle, prior to that time are considered a rarity. This vintage early career signed baseball serves as one of those rarities. Mantle has signed on the side panel with the inscription "Best Wishes, Mickey Mantle". An inscription appears to have been removed above the "Best Wishes". Please review photos as there is evidence of toning and some spotting.
