Undoubtedly the rarest and most desired variation of autographed Mantle jersey in the hobby, presented here for your bidding pleasure is a Mitchell & Ness authentic vintage style flannel jersey, made to the same specs as the jerseys worn by Mantle when he entered the Major Leagues for his rookie season in 1951. Most notably, this jersey displays a number "6", which he only wore for a limited time during his initial season, eventually switching to his permanent #7 after a slump and a brief stint in the minor leagues. Adding even more to the collectability of this jersey, Mantle has signed and inscribed in felt tip marker, "Mickey Mantle, No. 6, 1951," with the signature projecting a solid "8" in clarity and strength. Well preserved and in overall fine condition. Accompanied by Letters of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA) and PSA/DNA.
