Ultra-rare 11" x 14" New York Yankees photograph of Mickey Mantle hitting one of his first Yankees home runs on April 15th 1951 versus the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field. Mantle would round the bases and go to shake the hand of Bob Cerv, who wore the number 7, the number Mantle would take once Cerv was demoted in August of 1951. Signed by Mickey Mantle & Yogi Berra with Mantle adding "No. 6, 1951" to this rare image. It's worth noting we have never handle this image signed which has historical significance as one of Mantles first as a pro & one of the only images where Mantle as the #6 is seen directly with Cerv who wore #7 which is now retired by the Yankees for Mantle. Overall in fine condition with the image housed in a wood 21" x 18" frame with minor handling wear. A truly remarkable signed photo by Mantle! Authenticated by Beckett/BAS with a full letter of authenticity.
