With Derek Jeter retiring from baseball this year, it seems that the new face of baseball might be the Angels own Mike Trout. Trout is considered by most experts a five tool player, having a well rounded game in every aspect of baseball, but most importantly, Trout can hit the long ball. With thirty (30) home runs, a silver slugger, Rookie of the Year & All-Star visit, Mike Trout's rookie 2012 season is one for the record books. Offered here is a game used baseball from that historic rookie campaign on May 5th, 2012, Trout's first home run game of the season. Signed on the sweet spot by Trout in black ballpoint with a collector's notation on the south panel "Trout's foul ball, May 5, 2012, hit first HR today off Drabeck (Blue Jays)." The ball shows great signs of game use with hit marks & scuffs throughout. Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a certificate of authenticity.
