He reached several milestones during his career, including 400 career wins. He was a two-time All-Star and won the William M. Jennings Trophy (shared with Dominik Hasek) for the fewest goals against in the NHL in the 2007-2008 season. After his retirement, he transitioned into broadcasting and worked as a television analyst for the Red Wings and as a commentator on NHL broadcasts.
