When David Gilmour sold his guitar collection with Christie’s in 2019, he raised a staggering $21,490,750, setting a new world record for the most expensive guitar ever sold: his famous 1969 Black Strat, which achieved an astronomical $3,975,000. The Pink Floyd guitarist’s 1955 Gold Les Paul used to record “Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2) hammered for $447,000, solidifying a world record for the sale of a Les Paul. Here’s your chance to own a piece of Pink Floyd history—a sought-after David Gilmour owned and played Les Paul.

The here-offered stunning Gibson Les Paul guitar was personally owned and played by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. The guitar is from 1996 and was given to Gilmour by Gibson. Gilmour owned the guitar until 2001 when he gave it to Pink Floyd's legendary manager Steve O'Rourke. O'Rourke stated that Gilmour played the guitar in "recording sessions, and that he enjoyed the guitar very much". Accompanied by a detailed letter of provenance by James York who owned the guitar from 2001 to 2020. York was friends with Steve O'Rourke and requested to buy one of Gilmour's guitars in the mid 1990's. A few years later in 2001, O'Rourke managed to get this Gibson Les Paul to James—an incredible Pink Floyd relic.
