Scarce portion of a free frank, measuring 1" x 3" with a flourishing signature, "Mr. Adams". Also bears a partial postal marking above Adams' signature, just intersecting with the top of his first initial. Framed to overall dimensions of 15" x 19" alongside a 7.5" x 9.5" photo of Adams. A choice signature from a Founding Father and the 2nd President of the United States, much more seldom seen than his son John Quincy Adams' signature, which are rare in themselves. In fine condition with some foxing, a rough top edge, and one vertical crease. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
