Offered here is a document dated July 2, 1844 that has been signed by President John Tyler. Tyler appoints Hezekiah W. Scovell Deputy Postmaster at Lockport, in the State of New York. The document is countersigned by John C. Calhoun as Secretary of State. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact and slightly toned. The document measures to the full size of 9.5" x 15.5". There are three horizontal folds and one vertical fold. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
