This 15.25" x 19" Military Commission, dated January 17, 1881, has been personally signed by President Rutherford B. Hayes. This document is appointing future Rear Admiral Arthur Caldwell Dillingham to the rank of Lieutenant. The document is also countersigned by Nathan Goff Jr. as Secretary of the Navy. The item is to include a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services.
