Gorgeous “Love Sexy” album signed in-person in 1988 at London’s Tower Records, on the cover in bold purple felt tip marker, “Love God, P ‘88.” In fine condition. Record is included. Obtained in-person at a Tower Records signing, the original Tower Records outer clear cover and a letter of provenance from the original recipient, an employee of Tower Records in Piccadilly Circus, London, England is included.
The provenance letter reads, in part: “I worked at Tower Records, Piccadilly Circus, London W1 from 1986–1988…I landed the prestigious position of ‘rock album buyer’! One of the most exciting ‘in store’ signings was Prince who was promoting his new album ‘Lovesexy,’ what really struck me about this amazing man, was of course how tiny he was! It is only when you meet someone in the flesh that you can appreciate the magnitude of their raw energy, and his was ‘as big as he was small!’ I watched him signing…with total dedication to his fans…I watched him carefully sign it, he looked up at me with his huge brown eyes and smiled…the album stayed in its plastic ‘Tower Records’ cover, unplayed and in metal record boxes for 30 [some] odd years.” Accompanied by a Roger Epperson/REAL LOA. A pristine Prince example, accomplished in his iconic bold purple ink, and bolstered by impeccable provenance—the complete package!
