Rare and desirable vintage Reach official American League (Harridge) baseball, nicely signed and inscribed along the side panel in blue ballpoint pen, "Good luck Scotty, from, Dick Nixon." Nixon, a life-long baseball fan, frequently attended ball games during the season during his time in Washington, and the signature featured on this ball was obtained by a Washington Senators bat boy prior to a game in the summer of 1958. Upon acquiring the autograph, "Scotty" wisely stored the ball away in it's original Reach box, where it has sat for the last 55 years.

Extremely well preserved, the ball exhibits only the lightest shade of toning and minimal fading to the official Reach stamping. Accompanying the ball is the original Reach box. Signed baseballs on Nixon are rare and desirable, and only a scarce few vintage examples such as this have ever surfaced!
