If you ask anyone that was fortunate enough to see Roberto Clemente play during his seventeen year career as a Pittsburgh Pirate, they'll tell you Clemente was poetry in motion when he was patrolling right field for the Bucos. Whether he was catching a seemingly impossible ball in deep right field and throwing out a runner headed for third or making a catch and twirling around as he threw it back into play, he was a joy to watch. Clemente also was no slouch with the bat, achieving the elusive 3000 hit mark, some of which presumably with this fantastic offering. This 36 inch 38.2 ounce Hillerich & Bradsby U1 dating to a four-year span that twice saw this elite batsman claim the National League batting title. Featuring the distinctive knobless format favored by this true baseball hero & exhibits "excellent" game use according to the experts at PSA/DNA, who reference a wide array of ball marks on the barrel and a light, nearly imperceptible handle crack. The only detraction being some light post player use by either a teammate or an unknown. One of the the most unique bats in the hobby hammered with excellent use! Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity & grading of GU-7.
