In this supersized 16" x 20" boxing poster, American champ Rocky Marciano swings a punishing right hand in the 13th round to fellow heavyweight boxing world champ "Jersey" Joe Walcott. The match was held September 23, 1952 in New York and Rocky took the title. Marciano's nickname was "The Rock from Brockton" and he made a name for himself in the ring by defeating Joe Louis previously in 1951. Marciano retired in 1956 and was the only undefeated world heavyweight champion to do so (49-0 with 43 KOs). He signed this great photo in blue ballpoint pen with personalization by the champ "John Sanderson (my boy)". Poster shows some handling wear and wrinkling throughout but displays fine overall and is matted nicely to a size of 20" x 24". Accompanied by full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
