Maris, a somewhat resclusive personality who never sought the spotlight, almost exclusively signed baseballs along the side panel. Thus, single-signed sweet spot examples of Maris’ coveted autograph are of the utmost rarity and collectability. The baseball itself is Near-Mint overall, showing only slight hints of toning along it’s smooth white surface.
Maris passed away before single signed baseballs became the collecting rage they are today, making authentic single signed Maris baseballs in any form quite rare today. This is a simply spectacular example. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
