Offered here is a pair of green custom wooden eggs, used during the Easter Day egg hunt tradition at the White House in 1988--the final such Easter event hosted by Ronald and Nancy Reagan. These thoughtful gifts were originally given to White House staffer Katherine C. "Charley" Shepard, who came to the White House after achieving numerous occupations in Republican circles. As a highly regarded and trusted professional, Shepard worked exclusively with Reagan‚s private secretary and monitored/organized his meetings and appointments. Each wooden decorative egg is green for "Irish" Ronnie and stamped "Easter at the White House 1988." This pair of souvenir eggs are each beautifully hand signed by President Reagan and the First Lady in black felt tip marker. Both signatures are so well executed that they have both received grades of GEM MINT 10, with dual Letters of Authenticity and Grading from PSA/DNA.
