The ONLY true vintage signed example of this Classic Album we’ve encountered!
Here is a supremely rare 1966 CBS Stereo UK vinyl first pressing of Simon and Garfunkel’s album ‘Sounds of Silence’ that has been exquisitely signed in bold blue ballpoint pen by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel on the back cover. Unlike the more typical modern Simon and Garfunkel autographs, note the stunning full and complete nature of these signatures, with Art Garfunkel penning his full Christian name. Without question, this is the finest set of vintage Simon and Garfunkel autographs we’ve ever seen! The autographs were obtained backstage following a Simon and Garfunkel concert at Birmingham Town Hall on May 30th, 1968, during the Bookends Tour. Notably, the Birmingham show was a last-minute addition to the tour due to a makeup show the next day at Royal Albert Hall, London, resulting from an illness on March 8th with Art Garfunkel. 'Sounds of Silence' would be Simon & Garfunkel's second studio album and contains such classics as, ‘The Sound of Silence,’ ‘Homeward Bound,’ and ‘I Am a Rock.’ True vintage signed studio albums by Simon and Garfunkel are virtually non-existent. Indeed, this is the first and ONLY vintage signed example of ‘Sounds of Silence’ we have encountered. The cover and original vinyl record are in excellent condition.
