One of the most important statesmen of the 20th century, Winston Churchill became almost as well-known for his trademark cigars as he was for his oratorical skills and political leadership in the United Kingdom. He devotedly smoked for the majority of his life, and while the negative side effects of his habit might shock modern minds, Churchill believed that smoking helped bolster him to face the daunting challenges of his personal and political life. Offered here is a piece of Churchill's Cuban cigar, a J. Cuesta manufactured Tabacos El Dinamico from Habana. The cigar was given to a butler during a visit Churchill took to his birthplace, Blenheim Palace. The pieces of the cigar are matted together with a photograph and plaque to a total size of 11" x 16". In fine condition. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from John Reznikoff/University Archives.
