A Grail of "Fab" Proportions: An Incredible "Peppers" Signed Album Showcasing All 4 Members (and Yoko too!)

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the the Beatles. Released in May of 1967, "Sgt. Pepper's" is regarded by musicologists as an early concept album that advanced the roles of sound composition, extended form, psychedelic imagery, record sleeves, and the producer in popular music. The album had an immediate cross-generational impact and was associated with numerous touchstones of the era's youth culture, such as fashion, drugs, mysticism, and a sense of optimism and empowerment. Critics lauded the album for its innovations in songwriting, production and graphic design, for bridging a cultural divide between popular music and high art, and for reflecting the interests of contemporary youth and the counterculture. Sgt. Pepper's release was a defining moment in pop culture, heralding the album era and the 1967 Summer of Love, while its reception achieved full cultural legitimization for pop music and recognition for the medium as a genuine art form. The first Beatles album to be released with the same track listing in both the UK and the US, it spent 27 weeks at number one on the Record Retailer chart in the United Kingdom and 15 weeks at number one on the Billboard Top LPs chart in the United States. In 1968, it won four Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, the first rock LP to receive this honor; in 2003, it was inducted into the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress. It has topped several critics' and listeners' polls for the best album of all time, including those published by Rolling Stone magazine and in the book All Time Top 1000 Albums, and the UK's "Music of the Millennium" poll. It remains one of the best-selling albums of all time and was still, in 2018, the UK's best-selling studio album.

With the above being considered, it's our honor and pleasure to present for your bidding consideration this vintage pressing of the iconic "Pepper's" album, showcasing the signatures of all four members, with Paul McCartney signing in Sharpie, and Ringo Starr, George Harrison and John Lennon all signing in ballpoint pen, respectively. True to the era of the albums inception, along with John is the signature of Yoko Ono.

Lauded for it's rarity and significance by Beatles music autograph authority Frank Caiazzo, who notes in his detailed LOA that, "These signatures are found on the inside gatefold of a U.S. issue Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover, which is actually a composite of 3 different covers that were signed separately and then professionally cut and seamlessly fused together to make one cover." With intensive up-close examination, one can see this fusion in play, with it's impressive execution no doubt done under the skill of a museum-caliber paper expert. Additionally, this piece is accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) which will also note the unique assembly of these signatures.

While Beatles signatures are coveted and valuable in any form, signed albums are the ultimate acquisition. And among the scarce amount of signed albums known to exist, "Pepper's" is far and away the most coveted. In recent years, only 2 known and authenticated examples have surfaced in the marketplace, selling for six-figures. And while this particular offering provides a unique approach to the concept of a signed album, it is certain to be the centerpiece of the collection for any seasoned collector. With the other signed versions of this album tucked away in prestigious collections for likely decades to come, this may be one of the few--or only--opportunities you'll have to acquire any form of a group signed version of this incredible album. Accompanied by full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) and Beatles autograph authority Frank Caiazzo.
