1963 would be a crucial transitional year for the boys from Liverpool. With The Beatles gaining momentum in the U.K., Brian Epstein would sign the band up for the largest gig to date, a sixteen-day tour around England with one of the largest stars at that time, Roy Orbison. To put into context how important this tour was for The Beatles, Orbison would actually start out as the headline act, but due to overwhelming demand from the audience, The Beatles would finish the tour as the lead act. For many in the U.K., this would be the first time they paid any attention to the band that quickly became a national phenomenon by year's end, largely due to the Orbison tour. Given the importance of this tour in music history, having a Beatles-signed Roy Orbison tour program is similar to the "Holy grail" of signed Beatles albums, "Sgt. Pepper". This is a rare collectible, with all four of the autographs being rendered beautifully. The Beatles all signed on the same page of the program next to their pictures. Roy Orbison's signature, as well as a few others scattered around the program, are stamps. The program itself is in great shape and intact. It is extremely rare to find this program signed by all four Beatles. A combination of the importance of this tour, external & internal condition of the program & the signatures makes this a true gem for any music collector/historian. A full letter of authenticity has been provided by PSA/DNA.
