1963 would prove to be ever so important for the UK sensation from Liverpool as International success would be right on the horizon. With the release of their debut LP “Please Please Me” in 63, The Beatles would start their “touring years” hitting the shores of America for the Ed Sullivan Show in February of 1964. Offered here is an extremely rare pre-America 1963 10” x 7.5” signed color PYX magazine of the Beatles in their famous "Dezo hoffman suits" autographed on the cover by all four members of the Fab Four: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison & Ringo Starr.

John Lennon and Ringo Starr have signed by blue ballpoint pen, Paul McCartney has signed in dark blue fountain pen and George Harrison has signed in black ballpoint pen. The autographs were obtained in Jersey (England), Channel Islands in August 1963. The Beatles played a total of four nights at the Springfield Ballroom in Jersey in August 1963, the dates were 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th. The autographs come with a letter from the lucky original recipient that reads: “‘this booklet was issued for the visit of the Beatles to St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands in August 1963. A friend and I attended two of their concerts and having found where they were staying, we left our copies on the desk in the hotel foyer. George Harrison came back earlier (I Think they were at a party with Frankie Howerd) and kindly signed his name plus three xxx s! John, Paul and Ringo duly arrived and signed all the programs, of which there were possibly about a dozen, Prior to one of the concerts, I remember Brian Epstein asking me to please remove my handbag from the bonnet of the car which was parked outside the Springfield Ballroom in St. Saviour. He was quite polite. The Beatles could be seen driving around freely on the island in their convertible and would often stop to offer people a ride. This happened to us in the area of St. Brelade’s Bay, but we declined as we were going in the opposite direction! It was the first holiday away from my parents. I was 18 years old’.

Overall in fine condition with the original recipients name lightly written in the top left corner. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from world renown Beatles experts Tracks & the original recipient of the program. Also
we guarantee this lot to pass PSA/DNA or JSA authentication, and full certification can be arranged for an additional fee (please contact us for further details).
