Obtained during their legendary “Hotel California Tour” in 1977!
Presented here is an incredibly rare UK vinyl first pressing of The Eagles’ 1976 album ‘Hotel California’ that has been fully signed across the gatefold by all five original band members: Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Randy Meisner and Don Felder. All five members have signed beautifully in black ballpoint. The album was signed for a chauffeur who drove The Eagles during their brief 1977 tour of the UK in promotion of the newly released Hotel California album. The tour only took in three cities in the UK: Wembley, London (3 dates), Glasgow, Scotland (2 dates), and Stafford, England (2 dates). Comes with a letter of provenance from a relative of the chauffeur that states: ‘This album came into my possession as part of a collection of albums and memorabilia after a bereavement in my family. The collection has been in my family since acquired by a relative who was a driver for a company that focused on the entertainment business. I have items from the 60’s through to the 70’s. The Eagles album we believe was signed in 1977 when the band toured and played in the UK.’ The Eagles released Hotel California in December 1976, and it is widely considered one of the greatest albums of all time. Complete vintage signed Eagles albums are exceedingly rare. To date, this is the first vintage signed Hotel California album we have encountered.
