Tom Brady finished the 2021 NFL regular season on a high note, dismantling the Carolina Panthers in a 41-17 beat down by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a near perfect performance, Brady was 29-for-37, tossing three touchdowns and looking sharp as ever. It was the perfect final game for a storybook career, and for about 40 days, it was just that. When Brady announced his retirement on February 1st, this jersey became his final regular season jersey that he ever wore--setting virtually every major record in the NFL passing record books. Of course, on March 13th, Brady announced he was un-retiring and coming back for the 2022 NFL campaign. Understandably, with Brady playing arguably some of the best ball of his career, the temptation to give it another go was too great.
That being said, this jersey will have it’s spot in history as being the “Retirement 1.0” jersey. Accompanying the jersey is a detailed Letter of Photomatching Authentication from Resolution Photomatching Services that fully confirms the game usage. Also accompanying the jersey is a Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) to confirm the authenticity of the autograph.
