Offered is a New York Yankees payroll check, dated Dec 19, 1973, made payable to Thurman Munson and endorsed by “The Captain” himself on the reverse. The check has been made out in the amount of $1740.54 and has been impeccably signed "Thurman Munson" in blue ballpoint on the reverse with a signature that easily rates a "9-10" for overall strength. Thurman Munson signed items are scarce and in high demand today, due in large part to his untimely death in 1979. Official New York Yankees documents signed by Munson are amongst the most collectible of his autographed memorabilia. Encapsulated & authenticated by PSA/DNA.
