Twelve players have won the Triple Crown in baseball. The feat is one of the hardest to accomplish because a player really can't go into an extended slump if he's going to win a Triple Crown. While any gathering of signatures from the last four Triple Crown winners (Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski and Frank Robinson) is desirable in any form, none is more rare than what is presented in this lot.
Offered here is a Louisville Slugger H&B Mickey Mantle professional model baseball bat (made to the same specs at the lumber used by The Mick during his playing days), beautifully hand signed in blue felt tip marker by Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski and Frank Robinson. Along with the autographs, this bat also features a special postmark and stamping from the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame 50th Anniversary Celebration.
It is well documented within the hobby that very few authentically signed Mantle bats are in circulation (he had a strict policy of not signing bats for the majority of his signing days). Combine the rarity of a Mantle signed bat with the desirability of his fellow three Triple Crown members, and the end result is an awesome investment grade baseball relic!
