Several years prior to this letter Cobb wrote a booklet entitled "Science of Batting" for Louisville Slugger, which illustrated his style of play and his suggested techniques in all aspects of baseball. The letter is cleanly penned in Cobb's favored green fountain pen ink and is beautifully signed by him at the conclusion. Well preserved and in excellent condition.
